From Assistant to Lead: Helped Achieve 715% Impressions Growth and Streamlined SEO Execution

Boring Marketing is a performance-driven marketing agency focused on helping brands grow organically through proven SEO and content strategies. Known for taking a “zero-fluff” approach, BM practices what it preaches — and wanted its own blog to reflect that.

 

⚠️Challenges

🔵The blog had strong foundational content but lacked SEO optimization, internal linking, and technical fixes.

🔵Publishing processes were inefficient and repetitive.

🔵Site performance issues (CSS bloat, JS conflicts) impacted page speed and usability.

🔵There was no system in place for collaborative execution, tracking, or reporting across writers, editors, and developers.

⚙️My Role & Execution

I started by assisting Surabhi on this project. Over time, I stepped into the Project Lead role, driving end-to-end execution, audits, and team coordination. Here's what I owned:

🔵Developed a reusable HTML publishing code system for tables, notes, SOPs & checklists.

🔵Reduced repetitive publishing tasks, improving team efficiency and content consistency.

🔵Diagnosed and fixed mobile/desktop table rendering issues caused by plugin conflicts.

🔵Worked with developers to resolve page speed issues including CSS bloat and JS conflicts hurting performance.

🔵Ensured briefs addressed user intent and filled strategic content gaps.
