Case Study \ Insight Timer

Objective

Insight Timer is the world's leading free meditation app. The objective of this case study is to understand pain points of Insight Timer users and comprehensive analysis of possible solutions. 

Tools & Technologies used:

  1. Google forms for survey
  2. Excel for result analysis
  3. Balsamiq for wireframing
  4. Extensio for creating user personas
  5. MS Office for PPT

Challenges and learning:

  1. Identifying and connecting with active paid users of meditation apps was challenging. People prefer economical or free apps.

 2. Many consumers were not open accepting the fact that they use meditation app of mental wellbeing. Society still has some stigma about mental wellness and role of meditation in it. 

Result/Outcome

Customers have 3  major pain points with Insight Timer app.

 1. No timely reminders about meditation.

 2. No Interactive features for users to convey their thoughts or emotions.

 3. No suggestion based on users' mental state.

I have talked about possible solutions and new features to address all these 3 pain points. I have also suggested a new idea based on neural networks that will enhance customers experience.
