Social Media & Brand Marketing for a Student Accomodation Brand

Brief: Create Social Media Brand Strategy for a Student Accommodation Brand.

I created this social media strategy deck for Student Accommodations as part of my Brand Manager assignment, focusing on building awareness, engagement, and relatability for their platform that helps students find verified housing worldwide.​

Research Phase:

First, I dove deep into consumer insights by analyzing student behaviors on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Students, mostly Gen Z and Millennials, crave visual, authentic content from peers, especially during back-to-school peaks, and parents play a big role via Facebook. I also studied regional differences like Indian student communities abroad on Instagram, and cross-category inspirations from apps like LockStock for rewards, regional creators like FilterCopy, and UGC from Airbnb.​

Structuring Content:

Next, I outlined the core framework: Hero content for big campaigns (e.g., "Your new chapter starts here" stories), Hub for weekly engagement (polls, quizzes, UGC contests), and Hygiene for always-on tips (safety checklists, booking guides). I tailored it by platform: fun Reels on TikTok/Instagram, longer tours on YouTube, professional insights on LinkedIn for parents, and added creative ideas like #StudentAccommodationsCityChallenge and Virtual Move-In Fest.

I wrapped it with analytics (track engagement, conversions), a conclusion on evolving from transactional to lifestyle brand, ensuring global relevance (UK, USA, SEA) to confirm it tells a compelling story from insights to way forward.
