First Video Editing Samples | Beginner Edition

Objective:
To learn and practice video editing using real-life clips, transitions and sound effects. These edits helped me build confidence in storytelling and visual style during my first three months of learning video editing.

Procedure:

1. Collected raw clips from events, stock videos or shoots.

2. Selected background music or audio that fit the vibe.

3. Edited the videos using basic tools, adding transitions, filters and syncing audio for a smooth final cut.

4. Also added voiceovers to some videos as needed.

Time Required:
1–3 hours per edit depending on length and complexity.

1 hour for shooting content (wherever applicable).

Tools Used:

  • CapCut
  • InShot
  • Canva
  • Google Docs & Google Drive
  • Instagram Reels (for research & inspiration)

Conclusion:
These edits were purely passion-driven and helped me improve my sense of timing, style and creativity. They are simple, but they show how I’ve grown more comfortable with editing tools and visual storytelling with time.
