Communication Cards for the Autistic People

The Problem

Outdoors can be overwhelming

For autistic, non-verbal, or speech-impaired individuals, outdoor places like parks & zoos-with their noise, crowds, smells, and unpredictability- can easily cause sensory overload or emotional distress.

s In such situations, communication becomes hard, and expressing even simple needs like "1 need a break" or "I'm scared"' can feel impossible.

* While many people around genuinely want to help, they often don't know what to do.

Without clear guidance, their well-meaning attempts may accidentally escalate the situation, causing more stress and confusion for the individual.
