Sauce & Spoon was my capstone project for the Google Project Management course. I acted as Peta, the project manager, updating documentation for a successful launch. The scenario for my project was :
Sauce & Spoon is a small restaurant chain that wants to meet its annual growth and expansion goals. As one way to meet these goals, they’ve decided to launch a pilot project to test out the impact of installing new tabletop menu tablets. The new menu tablets will allow the restaurant to serve more guests in less time and will also provide valuable data that will help Sauce & Spoon meet its business goals.
Throughout the project, I accomplished the following:
1. Analyzed project documents and supporting materials to identify project requirements, assess stakeholders, and troubleshoot issues.
2. Formulated a project charter and utilized it as a tool to align project scope and goals among stakeholders.
3. Enhanced specificity in project goals, making them SMART, and employed practical negotiation skills with stakeholders to prioritize objectives.
4. Constructed a project plan by scrutinizing project documentation, conducting online research, analyzing crucial discussions to identify tasks and milestones, and then documented and prioritized them in a project plan.
5. Demonstrated effective communication techniques to provide accurate time estimates for project tasks.
6. Defined and elucidated quality management standards, assessing the project against those standards to ensure the required quality was achieved.
7. Formulated evaluation questions derived from survey questions and grasped effective methods to communicate qualitative data.
8. Acquired strategies to facilitate a productive retrospective by fostering participation, accountability, and positivity.
9. Gained proficiency in communicating and escalating project issues to stakeholders, showcasing my impact through effective reporting strategies.
