In this self-initiated design challenge, I tackled the question: How might we manage multiple autonomous drones across a city with clarity, control, and confidence?
Leveraging the potential of Drone-in-a-Box (DiaB) technology, I designed a platform that enables autonomous city-scale drone operations for urban security. The system focuses on intelligent mission scheduling, real-time drone monitoring, and rapid emergency responseāminimizing human intervention while maximizing situational awareness.
The core challenge was designing an interface complex enough to handle multiple drones and zones, yet intuitive enough for quick decision-making in critical moments. This project pushed me to think deeply about system UX, information hierarchy, and designing for trust in autonomous systems.
