Description:
Created a vibrant and culturally rich poster for Incredible India, an event celebrating India’s diversity, traditions, and heritage. The goal was to evoke a sense of national pride and cultural vibrancy through strong visual storytelling. The design combines traditional motifs with a modern layout to make the message engaging and visually captivating for both online and offline audiences.
Workflow:
Understanding the Theme & Objective:
Coordinated with the event team to capture the essence of the event — a celebration of India’s culture through performances, art, and regional diversity. The poster needed to represent unity in diversity while being bold enough to catch attention.
Color Palette & Motif Selection:
Chose a warm, saturated color palette inspired by traditional Indian art, festivals, and textiles (reds, oranges, yellows). Integrated cultural symbols like monuments, folk patterns, or regional motifs to create an instant connection with the theme.
Layout Composition:
Designed a symmetrical and balanced layout in Canva, placing the “Incredible India” title as the focal point. Supporting elements like illustrations and regional icons were placed around it to create a visual narrative while maintaining readability.
Typography & Hierarchy:
Selected fonts with ethnic flair but high readability to reflect the cultural vibe. Structured the information (event name, date, and club branding) in a clear visual hierarchy to guide the viewer’s eye smoothly through the content.
Illustration & Detailing:
Added detailed vector elements and traditional-inspired graphics to make the poster visually rich and immersive. Ensured that the background didn’t overpower the content by managing contrast and spacing.
Review & Final Touches:
Collected feedback from club members, adjusted spacing and text alignment, and finalized the design for both digital and print formats.
