Racism (experienced by North East Indians)
Diversity in India goes beyond culture, religion, and physical features to include discrimination. People from the Northeast have been mistreated and held accountable for spreading the contagion in the country, facing institutionalized discrimination and violence due to ignorance and casual instances of racism. Education is key to combating this issue and spreading awareness about the beauty of their culture and heritage. Instead of dividing us, we should embrace our differences and come together as one.
