Goal 1:
Benchmark LifeGuru’s Puja listings and performance marketing against competitors ahead of Ashtami during Navratri, identify gaps in Puja coverage, and find opportunities to improve customer interest, conversion rates, and average order value (AOV).
What I Did:
Identified gaps in Puja offerings, including missing deity and festival-specific Pujas. Evaluated listing names, descriptions, storefront visuals, duplicate listings, and language inconsistencies that could confuse customers or reduce conversions.
Identified opportunities to improve AOV through higher-value Sevas, make listings more compelling by communicating the benefits of participating in each Puja, and reposition performance marketing around devotional experiences rather than transactional messaging.
Proposed deity- and temple-based audience segmentation, more devotional video creatives, and replacing “Book Pooja” with “Participate in Pooja” to emphasize spiritual involvement.
Result:
Identified opportunities to expand Puja coverage, improve listing clarity and storefront experience, reduce customer confusion, increase AOV, and strengthen ad messaging and audience targeting.
Goal 2:
Identify Puja category expansion opportunities for LifeGuru in the US by evaluating the Indian diaspora, identifying gaps in existing offerings, and developing recommendations for Seva selection, pricing, and performance marketing.
What I Did:
Analysed the Indian diaspora as a potential customer segment, considering regional backgrounds, preferred deities, and worship traditions to identify opportunities for targeted Puja offerings.
Identified potential gaps in existing listings, including offerings associated with Lord Ganesha, Tirupati, Mantralayam, and ISKCON. Proposed expanding the catalogue around relevant deities and temples.
Proposed a premium pricing approach, starting at ₹4,500 per person and going up to ₹20,000 per family, depending on the Seva. Also identified opportunities to differentiate LifeGuru through relevant devotional offerings and targeted performance marketing for Indian diaspora communities.
Result:
Developed an initial category expansion strategy covering potential Puja launches, deity-led segmentation, premium pricing opportunities, and performance marketing recommendations for the US market.
