I Got Tired of Tracking Jobs. So I Built This.

It’s too personal

Over time, I found it difficult to manage and track my job applications manually, and I was getting fed up with maintaining everything myself.

I remembered a similar workflow I had built at Triveni to track creators, so I decided to reuse the same approach with a few tweaks specifically for job applications.

I also wanted to add email notifications for upcoming interviews 1–2 days in advance, so I wouldn’t have to keep checking the tracker manually.

Technical Stack:

Notion, Google Sheets, n8n

What I Did:

Built a centralized job application tracker to manage applications, track their status, and keep all relevant information in one place.

Adapted the workflow I had previously built at Triveni for creator tracking and with a few tweaks, modified it for job applications.

Added automated email notifications for upcoming interviews, helping me stay on top of important dates without manually checking the tracker.

Challenges and Learning:

The key challenge was converting scattered job application information into a structured system where every application could be tracked consistently without duplication or constant manual follow-up.

Result:

Built a structured job application tracking system and dashboard.

Created centralized visibility into application status, interview dates, and overall progress.

Reduced manual tracking and added automated interview reminders through workflow automation.
