Threadathon | Twitter Thread Writing Competition

I participated in Threadathon which is a nationwide competition to find the best thinkers and writers.
It is hosted by Identity Labs, which is a content science firm that’s bringing predictability to social media strategy.

OBJECTIVE OF PROJECT

  • As part of Threadathon, had to write a thread on a topic. It had 2 rounds.
  • Round 1: Writing a brief. The goal was to find interesting things to say about the topics. We had to merge all separate pieces into a single, captivating, narrative. We had to refer to 10-15 links and accumulate them with all the brief pointers.
  • Round 2: After writing the briefs in Round 1, we had to write a full thread on either of the topics.

TOPICS GIVEN

  • ASML: ASML is a Dutch company that’s worth $300 billion. They produce photolithography machines, which are some of the most expensive individual items sold in the world. ASML sells to chip manufacturing companies, like TSMC, and has a crazy-precise process for building these machines. Also worth noting is their world-class supply chain.
  • Founder Mode: Paul Graham refers to a speech Brian Chesky gave on Manager vs Founder Mode. Fascinating, overlooked, stuff. You can also utilize Emery Wells Tweet and Brian Chesky’s explanation of this on this podcast and podcast.
