The Age of Bhaarat – India’s first real AAA game or just hype with big names?
Written by Amish Tripathi, produced by Nouredine Abboud (ex-Ubisoft), and narrated in the trailer by none other than Amitabh Bachchan.
Yes, the voiceover alone turned heads.
The trailer looks great. The scale and visuals are impressive.
A game where ancient Indian mythology meets dark fantasy.
But honestly, some parts don’t quite land yet. The grappling hook and combat feel off. There’s not much weight to the hits, and the impact just isn’t there. That said, it’s still in pre-alpha, so we’ll see how it evolves.
For those unfamiliar, AAA (or "Triple-A") games are big-budget titles—think top-tier graphics, deep gameplay, major studio support, and global reach. It’s gaming’s equivalent of a blockbuster film. And that’s why expectations are high.
AAA games need more than hype. They need polish, tight mechanics, and long-term value.
So, is The Age of Bhaarat a turning point for Indian gaming—or just another big-name push banking on cultural pride? Personally, I’m hopeful—but keeping expectations in check. What do you think?
