When Rasmus Søndergaard set out to host Sønderthon, he wanted more than a stream. He wanted a moment. A destination. A place where anyone, from anywhere, could feel the energy of the event before it even went live. We stepped in to build that experience from the ground up.
Rasmus is one of Denmark’s most recognizable creators. Sønderthon was his way of bringing fans and guest creators together for a marathon-style celebration that lived beyond Twitch. To make that happen, he needed a dedicated home for the event. Something fast. Something interactive. Something that captured the chaos and excitement of the creator world.
Time was not on our side. We had two weeks to turn a rough idea into a fully functional, highly dynamic website that felt alive. The existing setup was nothing more than a streaming link. Fans had no central place to follow guest reveals, milestones or announcements.
We needed to build a platform that carried real energy. Real movement. Real anticipation.
We took ownership of the entire creative and digital process.
We handled the strategy, the design direction, the UX structure, the prototyping, the development and the final deployment. Our focus was simple: create an experience that feels like an event long before the event begins.
We started by aligning on the core emotion of Sønderthon. It had to feel loud, immediate and community-driven. Once that was locked, we built rapid moodboards and prototypes and tested them with real users to validate clarity and impact.
From there, we moved into full UI design and development inside Framer. Every section was built to update easily during the event. The guest lineup, the countdowns, the announcements — everything had to adapt in real time.
We then refined performance, polished interactions and optimized the entire flow for desktop, mobile and large screens. By launch day, the site felt exactly like the event: bold, fast and alive.
Sønderthon finally had a proper home. Fans had a place to check updates, explore guest creators, follow milestones and build excitement.
We delivered on the two-week deadline without compromise.
The platform elevated the event from “just another stream” to a shared digital experience — something people remembered before the marathon even started.
Our favourite moment was the client’s reaction to the small ideas we added. Those subtle details, the ones most people never notice immediately, were the same ones that made the website feel premium, personal and unmistakably Sønderthon.
