Climate fast: #allisnotwellinladakh
Ladakh is a pride for us all Indians. It is one of the dream destinations for millions of travelers now. It never fails to mesmerize with its beauty, culture, people, and way of life. Ladakh has been blessed with the beautiful energies of the monks who are silently into their deepest sadhana for a compassionate world.
But today all is not well in Ladakh - the glacier's life source of not only Ladakh but most of India is melting rapidly due to global warming caused by humans and his belief in industrialization as the only way towards development. Until now just tourism has caused much harm to the ecologically sensitive Ladakh a mountain desert, not like any other tourist destination. Industries, mining, etc will be an invitation not only to exploitation but also to the disaster and collapse of Ladakh.
But don't we all know that many other measures can be taken for developing a region by understanding the geography, people, culture, and needs?
Very much possible right?
So on this day when we are celebrating our democracy in India more so symbolically let's take action and exercise our rights given to us by the constitution in a nonviolent manner by supporting the climate fast initiated by Mr. Sonam Wangchuk to compel the government and policymakers to understand that our Mountains, Rivers, and Forest are the very source of life existing on this planet. So any policy framed should be aligned with not taking any action in creating an imbalance in nature in the name of development.
If we are the reason for this All is not well situation, we also are responsible to make it All is well again.
Spread the word and share your thoughts on avoiding the destruction of our lifelines ( Mountains, Rivers, Forests) by human decisions and policies.
