KL Rahul to join LSG but NCA warned him to...

Are you one who is desperately waiting for IPL? Are you one who supports Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)? If yes, here is the burning news for you. This news is about your captain KL Rahul who has been suffering from injury for a long time.

Rahul is all set to play IPL 2024

As IPL is coming near day by day, anticipation is building about his injury and availability for IPL. After the long absence of KL Rahul from competitive cricket, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has given the green light to stylish batsmen. NCA has approved that KL Rahul is fit and he will play in the world’s biggest cricket franchise IPL.

Rahul’s injury woes can be traced to the first test match against England in Hyderabad, where he suffered a strain in his muscle. But it wasn’t serious so we were expecting, him would play in 3rd test but he again felt tightness in the affected area, forcing him to leave the rest test series and it also put a question on his availability in IPL.

After getting recovered from strain, KL Rahul shared a video to NCA showcasing his progress, showing batting and wicketkeeping practice, and outfield exercises. After monitoring his progress and condition, NCA granted his clearance to play competitive cricket.

Hence KL Rahul is all set to join LSG on Thursday, March 20 where his IPL franchise will welcome him and they will start their IPL campaign against Rajasthan Royal in Jaipur on March 24.

NCA warned him for wicketkeeping

Here is a twist on his availability, the road to recovery is not done completely, and KL Rahul will have to take some precautions. According to a BCCI source, Rahul has been advised to play as a batsman in the initial phase of the tournament so he can introduce his wicketkeeping ability in the game gradually. NCA suggested he avoid squatting behind the stumps. As his fitness improves, he can reintroduce his wicketkeeping duty as well.

It’s good news for all IPL fans, especially for LSG die-hearted fans. Kl Rahul will play for his team and team management is not worried about his wicketkeeping because Lucknow has Quinton de Kock and Nicholas Pooran who are star wicketkeepers and will fill the wicketkeeping void created by Rahul’s injury.

Rahul’s strategy to get a World Cup ticket

We are getting news from a source that he will be keeping wickets from the initial stage of the tournament because he wants to use the IPL as a platform to open the doors of the World Cup squad.

Interestingly he can bat in the middle order with wicketkeeping to make a comeback in the National team squad because the opening slot is filled by another star batsman so he is using this strategy to cement his position in the T20 World Cup squad.

As we know T20 World Cup 2024 kicks off from 1 June to 29 June co-hosted by West Indies and the United States. That's why every player is ready to show their worth for the upcoming World Cup squad as IPL is one of the important factors for BCCI to select players according to their performance in IPL.
