My book- The Fireflies
Since grade 7, I've aspired to become an author. Over the years, I've managed to get seven of my writeups published, but my ultimate goal has always been to write a book. Rather than putting pressure on myself to come up with an idea and set deadlines, I patiently waited for inspiration to strike. It wasn't until last year, during a conversation with my father, that I finally found the perfect concept for a short novel, which could possibly be part of a series. I titled my work "The Fireflies" and after fleshing out the idea and creating an outline, I began writing in September 2022.
My plan is to finish the first draft this month and start the publishing process by 2024. Fingers crossed for a successful outcome.
