Fueler Crosses 100,000 Members: Building Career Infrastructure for 100 Million Creative Professionals

Fueler, India's Proof of Work platform for creative and knowledge professionals, today announced it has crossed 100,000 registered members. The company also shared that over 1,000 companies have registered on the platform, with more than 15,000 hiring assignments submitted and over 5,000 candidates hired through its proof of work hiring model

Fueler's mission is to build the career infrastructure for 100 million creative and knowledge professionals worldwide, becoming the place where professionals prove their skills through real work instead of resumes alone.

The milestone comes as artificial intelligence makes it easier than ever to write polished resumes and cover letters, making it harder for employers to tell real skill from a well written claim. Fueler was built to solve this problem by helping professionals build living portfolios of real projects, and helping companies hire based on demonstrated work rather than claimed experience.

Hiring, however, still depends on documents written about work, instead of the work itself," said Riten Debnath, Founder and CEO of Fueler. Members come from leading institutions including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIM Ranchi, SRCC, and Delhi University, and now work at companies including Microsoft, PayPal, GitLab, HackerRank, and Pocket FM.

Fueler was founded by Riten Debnath, who grew up in Agartala, Tripura. Started from Agartala built for 2 years, then went on to setting up their second office in Bengaluru to build the company to cater to pan India. The idea grew from his own experience of seeing talented people overlooked for lack of a well-known college or company name, while genuinely strong work went unnoticed by the hiring system

Fueler started in 2021 from Agartala, far from India's usual startup hubs. It began with a small team working remotely, built entirely on personal savings with no external funding. From these modest beginnings, Fueler has grown into a community of over 100,000 professionals and a working hiring platform used by more than 1,000 companies.

Fueler's growth to 100,000 members has come mainly through community, referrals, and organic content rather than paid advertising. The company's next goal is to reach 500,000 members, with continued investment in assignment based hiring, portfolio intelligence, and AI powered career tools.
