This ad focuses on a simple but relatable insight — rugs look beautiful, but maintaining them is a constant headache.
The concept highlights everyday situations where rugs get dirty and then positions Ruggable as the practical solution.
The objective was to build a clear direct-response flow: Hook → Problem → Relatability → Product Solution while keeping the visuals natural and lifestyle-focused.
The main reason I took up this assignment is that I am currently on my notice period and actively exploring new job opportunities. The product objective itself is very clear — to simplify the daily chore of cleaning and maintaining rugs. That is exactly where Ruggable fits perfectly.
For this assignment, my focus was to highlight the real-life pain points people face while cleaning rugs and then demonstrate how Ruggable solves those problems in a simple and practical way.
In terms of time investment, I spent around 4–5 hours completing the assignment. Most of the time (and credits) went into generating the images and video sequences, as achieving consistency in AI-generated visuals required multiple iterations.
I chose this concept because the product personally resonates with my own experience.
I spent two years in the United States pursuing my Master’s in Film Production at Full Sail University. The apartment I lived in had carpet flooring throughout the house, and maintaining it was always a challenge.
Whenever we had friends over or hosted small gatherings, the next day cleaning the carpet would become a task for everyone in the apartment. Food spills, soda stains, and dirt marks were common, and cleaning them meant brushing, scrubbing, and using detergents. Sometimes it would take an entire day just to make the carpet look normal again.
When I looked at the Ruggable product, it instantly connected with that experience. The idea that you can simply wipe the rug or remove the top layer and wash it in a machine solves a very real everyday problem. The house still looks aesthetically pleasing and warm, but maintenance becomes much easier.
Because of this personal connection, the product and concept felt very natural for me to work on.
From my perspective, Ruggable is a practical, lifestyle-oriented, and design-forward brand.
The brand focuses on solving a very common household problem — keeping rugs clean — in a way that is both functional and aesthetically appealing.
Their product innovation lies in the machine-washable top layer combined with a non-slip rug pad, which makes it far more convenient compared to traditional rugs. So while the product looks stylish and premium, the core value of the brand is making everyday home maintenance simple and stress-free.
To complete this assignment, I used a combination of AI tools and traditional editing software.
ChatGPT – to structure and refine my thoughts
Google NanoBanana and Seedream – for generating consistent images
Kling, Wan, and Google Veo – for generating video shots, transitions, and motion sequences
Adobe Premiere Pro – for editing, pacing, and assembling the final advertisement
Adobe After Effects – to create the final motion graphics screen
Using these tools allowed me to build the entire production workflow — from concept → visual generation → video creation → editing → final ad delivery.
