Lines like “So just buckle up” and the explanation of how West allegedly broke into Corey’s house are treated as anchor moments, where the visuals and sound design hit a little harder to underline the tension.

Editing and pacing in the timeline

The section from 00:00:00:00 to 00:00:43:11 is cut with a fast, intentional rhythm: quick cuts on key phrases, micro jump‑cuts on breaths, and subtle time‑remapping to keep the energy tight without feeling chaotic.

Pauses in the storyteller’s voice are used as slots for inserts and text, so every silence is doing work—either revealing a new visual clue or giving the audience a second to sit with what they just heard.

Use of AI B‑roll

Instead of relying only on stock footage, AI‑generated B‑roll was used to visualize moments from the story without showing real people: things like a dimly lit house exterior at night, a slightly open front door, or a jacket hanging in a hallway.

For the part about West’s felony record and fear of reporting the break‑in, the AI B‑roll shifts to darker, more noir‑style shots—police lights bleeding through windows, a silhouette pacing in a living room, close‑ups of nervous hands—to mirror the paranoia and guilt in the dialogue.

Tone, emotion, and atmosphere

As the story reveals that West allegedly broke into Corey’s house, found only AJ’s jacket, and then asked Andre to cover for him, the grade leans cooler and contrastier to push a more suspicious, true‑crime tone.

The main goal in the edit was to take the raw frustration in lines like “this case started to just blow my mind and piss me off” and turn it into visual and rhythmic pressure, so the audience ends up sharing that same uneasy, pissed‑off feeling by the end of the sequence.
