Social Media Content writer Assignment- Sorted Brand

 

Objective:

To craft natural, emotionally grounded, human-written LinkedIn posts for a 45-year-old Indian male founder based in Dubai. The posts needed to reflect maturity, lived experiences, and a professional yet friendly tone while avoiding any AI-like stiffness. I selected these two topics to showcase my writing skills: 

How festivals feel different in your 40s.

Why awards like “40 Under 40” no longer excite him, and what truly matters now.

Why these post works?

For first topic, both the versions worked  because they speak to the same truth from two different emotional angles.

Version 1 works because it hits you with a strong, reflective hook and then walks you through the shift from noise to silence. It feels like a personal revelation — intimate, raw, and quietly powerful. It makes the reader pause and feel the weight of growing older.

Version 2 works because it leans into nostalgia. It paints a vivid picture of the “festive mess” we all grew up with, and then contrasts it beautifully with the calm, emotional maturity of the 40s. It’s descriptive, relatable, and filled with moments every Indian family has lived.

In short:
Version 1 pulls you in with introspection.
Version 2 pulls you in with memory.

And both lead the reader to the same heartfelt realization:
Festivals don’t get smaller in your 40s they get deeper.

 

For the second topic, it works because it speaks from a place of maturity, not motivation. It doesn’t preach it reflects. The tone feels lived, honest, and unfiltered, exactly how a 45-year-old founder would think when he’s past the phase of chasing titles.

It contrasts the rush of early ambition with the calm of earned clarity.
It shifts the focus from external validation to internal fulfillment like parents, team, real relationships, peace, purpose.

Most importantly, it lands on a universal truth many founders eventually realise that the recognition that matters isn’t on a list it’s in the life you build quietly, without applause.

That’s why the version feels real, grounded, and deeply relatable.

 

Time taken to complete the assignment: 2 days

Lastly, the  assignment delivers human, heartfelt posts that genuinely reflect a 45-year-old founder’s evolving values, priorities, and emotional depth. I really enjoyed writing on this topic.

The process was simple- Brainstorm on the thoughts, emotions and feeling being at its place and then working on 2 different drafts to finaliz
