tl;dr we should feel like “wait, that’s actually smart”

Assignment Task:t

• Come up with 3 ideas and a quick blurb for each.
  - Why you picked it up
  - What you’re thinking around that idea
  - What insights or pov you will add 
  - How you’ll structure it overall
   
• Pick 1 idea from it and write a proper script for that one.
  - This is sample script (we’ve first draft, final cooked version and insta look for it)
  - Make sure it’s script and not blog (yeah!)
  - Add visuals against every line and try to come up your visuals please (no chatgpt dump - look at current vids on saasflash page)
   
• For 3 ideas: 
  - 1 or 2 should be based on something recent (like openai acquiring windsurf)
  - Remaining should be timeless (non-news, but interesting)

How we’ll evaluate you:
Your point of view or research (4 points)

• This is the most important part. 
• We don’t want to be a news channel or drop surface level info. 
  - For example, you can make a meme when chatgpt acquired windsurf “lol they couldn’t build windsurf with their AI models”
  - Or you can say, they acquired windsurf for customers (obvious one) 
  - But we wanna go deep and tell, that real reason behind $3b is not for customers but years of data labelling and training infra that windsurf has does 
  - Basically bring the non-obvious truth to the surface.

 

• Or there has to be your point of view. 
  - Something we did for a Naval video. chatgpt didn’t give us that. we built it with proper rationale. 
  - Over here you might be right or wrong.
  - But do you have a good rationale behind it? 
  
   
• Your script should atleast have 1, and if it has both then you get 2 bonus points

 

Visuals you thought (2 points) 

• This is for insta. it should feel & look like a script and not a blog (why even I’m writing this?)
• Add what visuals you’ve thought while writing that particular sentence.
• Your script should feel like a storyboard.
• Write enough and let the visuals do the rest (do check comment over here)
• For visuals we have the world’s best editors and we r hiring more,
   

Overall flow (2 points)

• Should feel like a friend talking.
• The writing should just flow. should be tight, clear and no fluff.
• Like don’t make it boring

 

Writing (2 points) 

• PLEASE don’t make it sound like AI. we are in the arena so we can smell from mile
• And even if you write with help of AI (which you should) but don’t make it obvious 
• Give smart and relevant analogies
• We’re writing for founders and operators and they should feel like “oh wow”

 

Finally, 

• If you writing is amazing but your research is meh or there is no concrete pov then it’s auto reject
• If you submit an assignment then at least we promise you that we'll not ghost you. 
• And just vibe while writing
