Full Time
Create a learning path for buildd
Background
buildd is the most fun way to learn a business skill for free. With just a few minutes a day, buildd (Android, iOS) is the only app you need to learn marketing, product, entrepreneurship and 100+ other skills.
*Learning Paths*
One of our key focus areas is the “Learning path” feature. At any point, every buildd user is on a specific learning journey and our goal is to recommend the next learning path (course) they should take.
For example, when a user is interested in marketing first visits the home screen, they are shown the “Learn marketing essentials” learning path.
Problem Statement
Your task is to create 2 chapters in the learning path on “Business frameworks you must know”.
Each chapter is a quiz consisting of questions like scenario-based MCQ, true or false, match the following etc. The goal is to teach one or more concepts through a series of questions.
Each chapter must have at least 10 questions.
For reference, here’s a sample chapter from the learning path “Top razors for decision making”: The Feynman Razor.
Content Guidelines
- When a chapter introduces a new concept, do NOT get into the specifics of the concept. Only explain the topic conceptually. For example, if you’re covering the term “user persona”, your questions should focus on what a user persona is, how it is helpful etc. and NOT on steps to create a persona or any jargons associated with the topic.
- When a chapter covers the specifics of a topic e.g. steps in a particular framework or funnel, assume that an unaware user will get the first question wrong. But when we repeatedly ask the same question in different formats (change question text, different question types etc.), the user should be able to grasp the concept/term and answer the question correctly.
- If a chapter covers 3 concepts, make sure the repetition is not immediate. For example, if you’re covering concepts A, B, C:
- Q1 → A, Q2 → B, Q3 → C
- Q4 → A, Q5 → B, Q6 → C
- …and so on
- For question & options text:
- Keep sentences as short as possible
- Avoid unnecessary words
- Break down longer sentences into smaller ones
- For options:
- All options must have equal length
- Options other than the correct answer shouldn’t be right (even in specific scenarios)
- Incorrect answers shouldn’t be obviously wrong or read outrageous. The options should still seem relevant in the general business context.
Output
You’re free to submit your output in a format of your choice. For instance, a Notion or Google doc works great.
Along with the above output, make sure to share the rationale behind the choices wherever relevant for the specific chapters or a set of questions.
