Meet Augis, one of the amazing 3D Designers, he is the creator of Morflax, A tool to create high-quality 3D illustrations, device mockups and other 3D content in a quick and engaging way.

Q. As you are currently building “Morflax” project, curious to know how your journey as a creator started? 

A. My journey in 3D space started with Awwwards.com website, 5–6 years ago. It inspired me to delve into the 3D/CGI world. 

It became my passion for many years and inspired me to create my first interactive 3D website, which I created back in 2017.

Q. What’s the first-ever thing you have built or created? 

A. Mhm, good question. I think it was some short video movie created in Sony Vegas or UI design created in Photoshop. 

The first thing I ever programmed was a SAMP (San Andreas Multiplayer) server in my childhood.

Q. What’s that one thing you want to achieve in 2022? 

A. Build my first WEB3/NFT/Metaverse project.

Q. What’s that one thing you are most curious about? 

A. It’s 3D, CGI, VR, and Metaverse

Q. What’s the one mistake you have done and will advice others not to repeat that?

A. Overthinking and overengineering. Don’t think too much in the early days, just build and ship fast.

Q. Which book you are reading these days? Which Genre excites you the most? 

A. The Secret Life of Salvador Dali (by Salvador Dali). Biography Genre, I think.

Q. What do you love to do when not working? Any hobbies you want to share? 

A. I love to explore new things, create something new and experiment in 3D space. Also travelling.

Q. Can you name three Creators on Twitter that inspire you most?

A. Traf, Levelsio, and all NFT/Digital art communities inspire me a lot.

Q. Can you tell a bit about your current project? 

A. Morflax is a platform for 3D design and interactive experiences. It was founded to build 3D design tools for everyone, explore virtual worlds and create digital avatars.

I don’t want this project to be associated with just one direction, it’s like a small Renaissance company of our time.

Q. What’s that one book/movie that has changed your complete perspective about the world?

A. I don’t remember THAT ONE book or movie that changed my perspective (there were quite a few of them). But I can say that the first book I read deliberately was The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and it really changed my perspective on life.

Q. What would you recommend to others who are looking to start their careers in the startup/SaaS space on how to go about it? 

A. Don’t think too much in the early days, just start small, build and ship things faster. You will learn everything along the way.

Q. Suppose there is a big whiteboard in front of you. What’s the first line you would like to write? 

A. Create, Explore, Expand, Conquer.

Q. Who is one underrated person you believe in the creator community whose story should be shared with the world?

A. Not underrated, but one of my favorite creators: $MIGUEL Piedrafita
