When it comes to learning Nocode, what’s the best guide you prefer to follow?
I’m sure, whatever guide you would be following that would be better than what today’s creator is offering. I’m not the only person who is saying that.
Karla is a UI/UX and Digital product designer and besides all those, she is a nocode teacher who helps people build apps using nocode technologies.
Let’s discover the journey of this amazing creator and how she landed up with NocodeKlass 👇
Q. As you are currently building “NocodeKlass”, curious to know how your journey as a creator started?
A. I like to think that I have always been a creator. Turning anything into a product or service has interested me since a very young age.
With Nocode Klass I started a new journey. I combined my experience as a mentor with my expertise in creating nocode apps to turn it into a course that can empower others to take the same path. I have been studying more and more online throughout the years. Design, user interface, user experience, marketing, motion, illustration, and so many others.
I believe this was the thing that incentivized most to leave the backstage and turn an idea into real products, now, not just for my customers but also for myself.
Q. How did you make your first $100?
A. My first 100$ earned online with nocode was earned with my first YouTube video. It was amazing for me to imagine that I could in fact with my knowledge create sponsored videos to be aired on YouTube.
Funny fact, it was also the easiest video to make ever, after that I got a bit crazy about lighting, equipment, sound, and all the gadgets involved. I have a plan to start building my channel from February on, with one short video a day teaching something.
Q. What’s that one thing you want to achieve in 2022?
A. Most people aren’t learning skills that would help them get the life they want. For Brazilians, most of the content available to teach these skills is made in a foreign language which makes it difficult to comprehend, exhausting to follow, and hard to learn, if not impossible.
I believe, like me, people learn by doing, so my goal in 2022 is to reach 10,000 Brazilians and Portuguese speakers with high-quality content that is in their own language, easy to understand, and ready to apply to their everyday work.
I aim to provide the best nocode & design training so they are ready to start their day with the tools and workflow they need to focus and thrive.
Q. What’s the one mistake you have done and will advice others not to repeat that?
A. I had little time for my own projects. I am a doer, always involved with something for my customers. It took me a while to get used to doing more for me, I was constantly waiting for tomorrow, a better time, next week, when you have more time.
Stop procrastinating and get to do the things you would like to do now! Start with 15min a day, increase that slowly, I tell you, the compound effect will be huge.
Q. Which book are you reading these days?
A. If January 11 has arrived, the book will be “Hero on a Mission: A Path to a Meaningful Life” by Donald Miller.
He has a course that carries the same name that has changed the way I deal with my routine and made me be able to plan the future that I am living today. I am very excited about learning more.
Currently, in the same direction, I am not reading but envisioning, writing, and planning with Michael Hyatt using the Full Focus Planner for the first time.
Q. What do you love to do when not working? Any hobbies you want to share?
A. Travel.
My dearest hobby includes sightseeing, changing my routine, getting out of my comfort zone to see life with other eyes. New cultures, new ways to build things, new ideas, flea markets, a mix of colors, smells, tastes, sounds, there is nothing else that can be richer in my opinion.
Q. Can you name three Creators on Twitter that inspire you most?
A. Silvia Bormüller inspires me to create and organize events. She has been creating amazing design conferences and hackathons, many times free to participate.
Grace Ling motivates me to create a community. In less than a year she is growing and managing a community around design that is energetic and active.
Matt Kim encourages me to be consistently creating. He is weekly deconstructing crypto trends and sharing those insights through visual storytelling and that’s the best newsletter I receive on the topic.
Q. What’s something you learnt/realized recently that you wish you learnt/realized much earlier?
A. I made a habit of listening to Blinkist and 12min book of the day, as well as one or two episodes of a business podcast like Side Hustle School or Business Made Simple.
I would have loved to start doing this years before. There is so much good content out there, and reading books is amazing, but listening to these short resumes, interviews or talks can really give you a grounding experience for you to know what you should explore more of.
Q. What would you recommend to others who are looking to start their careers in the startup/SaaS space on how to go about it?
A. Think of the skills you have, the things you love doing, the training you need to improve, and start doing it.
Reach out to your network or create one in the industry you want to work on. Follow people that do what you would like to do, and get inspired, use them as your role model.
Be professional, outgoing, and above anything else persistent. If others have done it, you can do it too.
Q. Suppose there is a big whiteboard in front of you. What’s the first line you would like to write?
A. Today, I will… then add my 3 priorities of the day.
A program designed to get you ready to start your day with the tools and workflow you need to focus and thrive.
Thanks for reading.
