After building many SaaS, Kilian also started facing this challenge and then decided to leverage the power of GPT-3 by building a tool that will help us get out of this struggle.

That’s when, Mark came in role, a tool that helps us write 3x faster by generating short-form content (copy) and long-form content (blog posts).

Q. As you are currently building Mark, curious to know how your Journey as a creator started?

A. I would say my journey as a creator started when learning to code at ~10 years old. I was always working on some web apps but with 0 business/marketing knowledge.

I really had a passion for building stuff. Then just before graduating, I started working on a project with a good friend and that’s where it started getting serious. Built 3 apps, quit my job to work full time on these projects, and learned a lot from the first 2 experiences.

Then we decided to solve one of our own problems: writing content/blog posts is way too time-consuming for creators. And that’s how Mark was born!

Q. What’s the one thing you want to achieve in 2021?

A. Personally: One thing I’d like to achieve is to grow Mark to a point where I’m totally financially independent.

For the community: That many creators are able to start writing content very early in their journey thanks to Mark.

Q. Can you name three Creators on Twitter that inspire you most?

A. Sure, I’ll name three for different reasons:

@arvidkahl for his amazing experience & content for bootstrapped businesses

@tdinh_me for the cool products he’s building & sharing

@oluadedej for his energy & efforts to help founders

Q. What’s the one mistake you have done and will advice others not to repeat that?

A. It’s building a product that doesn’t solve one of my own problems.

Q. Which book you are reading these days?

A. I’m currently reading Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products

Q. What’s something you learnt/realized recently that you wish you learnt/realized much earlier?

A. The best product is not the one with the best features but with the best marketing. I wish I had realized earlier that marketing efforts should start very early in the process of creation.

Q. What do you love to do when not working? Any hobbies you want to share?

A. Sure, I love hiking, photography & meteorology/storm chasing

Q. What’s that one book/movie that has changed your complete perspective about the world?

A. Still learning so nothing special to share (yet maybe). It has to be Into the Wild for so many reasons.

Q. Can you tell a bit about “Mark”?

A. One thing I realized while creating my first SaaS was how time-consuming it is to create content. There are costly solutions such as hiring someone but it still doesn’t solve the problem of creating both high volume and quality content.

So my co-founder and I created Mark. It helps to write 3x faster by generating short-form content (copy) and long-form content (blog posts). We have also recently added an SEO assistant that helps creators save even more time on their content production.

Q. Suppose there is a big whiteboard in front of you. What’s the first line you would like to write?

A. Nothing can substitute experience. Learning while the building is the key.
