Organically growing your brand from scratch is a lot hard without focusing on SEO, it’s the channel that solely can give traction to a product just by focusing on it.
Today’s creator is someone who has been in the SEO domain for a decade now and helped thousands of brands, professionals grow themselves by leveraging SEO.
Let’s discover the journey of this amazing creator and how he has been building around SEO 👇
Q. As you are currently building and growing KatLinks, curious to know, how your journey as a creator started?
A. I’ve been running an SEO agency for about a decade now, and I’ve seen that not everyone can afford to hire an agency or learn all they need to to become SEO experts. Some even can afford some of the professional SEO tools that are out there.
So the idea was to create an affordable SEO tool for people that are not looking to become experts, but that still want to do something for their SEO.
Q. What was the first thing, you had built/created?
A. My first product was dental software (for managing dental clinics) and after that, I created a CRM software
Q. What’s the one thing you want to achieve in 2021?
A. The goal was to reach 1k MRR by the end of the year, but the last couple of months have slowed down. Will still keep it as a goal, but not sure I’m going to reach it. From an audience perspective, I want to get to 5k followers in Twitter.
I also want to launch 2 side projects to use as marketing strategies to promote KatLinks.
Q. Is there anything unexpected or surprising you learnt as a creator?
A. Yeah, that growth has its ups and downs, and you have to learn to live with it. Sometimes sales are up, other times sales dry and churn creeps in. That’s just part of the business.
We just have to keep going, and eventually, we’ll reach a point of equilibrium where the growth is much stable and constant. But it requires patience and a lot of work to get to that point.
Q. What’s the one mistake you have done and will advise others not to repeat that?
A. Build without prior validation.
Don’t wait until everything is perfect and don’t assume you know what users want and need. You are probably wrong and will only waste time and money 🙄
Launch quickly, get feedback from users, improve, and repeat 🔥
Q. Which book you are reading these days?
A. I’m currently into Science fiction books. Well, audiobooks actually.
Finished the “Murderbot Diaries”, and I’m currently on “Infinite”, the last business audiobook was a couple of months ago, Obviously Awesome by @aprildunford
Q. What do you love to do when not working? Any hobbies you want to share?
A. I’m always working 😂, if I’m not, just like to spend time with my daughters, go visit coffee shops with my wife and play video games.
Oh, and Sundays are NFL days.
Q. Can you name three Creators on Twitter that inspire you most?
A. Oh wow, only 3 is so difficult, but I could easily name more.
Q. Where can one go to find more about you?
Q. What would you recommend to others who are looking to start their careers in the startup/SaaS space on how to go about it?
A. Start off with small side projects. If they don’t code, learn no-code tools. If they code, learn at least the basics of marketing.
Q. Suppose there is a big whiteboard in front of you. What’s the first line you would like to write?
Thanks for reading.
